Once again, Virginians showed their appreciation in a big way. In FY26, the Thank a Teacher program resulted in more than 225,000 thank-you notes sent to K-12 public school teachers across the Commonwealth.

Thank a Teacher has now closed, and the period to participate has officially ended. Thank you to everyone who took the time to recognize the educators who make a difference every day.

Each thank-you note included a unique code that eligible teachers could use to enter a drawing to win $2,500 from the Virginia Lottery and its partners, Brightstar Lottery and NeoPollard Interactive, along with $2,500 in school supplies from The Supply Room.
