The next Thank a Teacher starts in April! Explore what we did last year.

Together with the public, the Virginia Lottery and its partners distributed a record 133,000 thank you notes during Teacher Appreciation Week. Virginia K-12 public school teachers who received those notes could enter a drawing to win $2,500 from the Virginia Lottery and $2,500 in supplies for their school from The Supply Room. We drew four lucky teachers to win and surprised them at their school.
